WATCH: Mariachi Band Opens Democrat Mayor’s Pro-Sanctuary City Press Conference
The liberal mayor of Boston opened her anti-law enforcement press conference with a mariachi band performance on Tuesday, using the music as a symbol for her allegiance to Mexican culture as she fights to further force it on her constituents.
The event was a response to the DOJ’s apparently audacious demand that the city comply with federal immigration law and Pam Bondi’s request that Mayor Michelle Wu commit to ending her sanctuary policies. Boston currently restricts cooperation between local officials and federal immigration authorities, doubtlessly leading to dangerous foreign criminals roaming the city’s streets. Wu vowed to remain uncooperative during Tuesday’s spectacle.
On a separate note, the mayor’s office accidentally invited all members of the Boston City Council to an “electeds of color” holiday party that excluded white people in 2023.
