Trump Showers Law Enforcement with Pizza and Burgers
Donald Trump took to Washington’s streets to thank law enforcement officers for their bravery in this week’s crime-crackdown efforts on Thursday, heralding the officials as “incredible people” and providing a feast of pizza and burgers for the crowd to enjoy.
The president spoke highly of the group’s efforts during a brief address, telling them, “you make the country run” and celebrating the “incredible results” of their work.
Data support Trump’s positivity. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed on Thursday that DC has been homicide-free for over a week, a feat previously not achieved all summer.
