The millions of American patriots up in arms over Cracker Barrel’s rebrand received monumental news on Tuesday: they won.

The restaurant chain took to Twitter to announce its plan to ditch its soulless new logo last night, putting its tail between its legs and conceding that its “Old Timer” must remain.

“At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family,” the company’s statement said. “As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon.”

The bolded line reads like a breath of fresh air. It wasn’t long ago that corporate America thought shying away from patriotism in the name of left-wing U.S. apologism was the way of the future. What a relief that we’re through with that cancerous phase.
