Did the Mar-a-Lago Raid Have Probable Cause? The FBI Wasn’t Sure.
Newly released records reveal that the Biden FBI did not believe agents had probable cause to raid Donald Trump’s home in 2022, but the Biden DOJ approved the search anyway.
The bombshell files, released by Chuck Grassley, show one Bureau official noting that agents spent six “counterproductive” weeks trying to establish grounds for a warrant, only to be overruled by the partisan Justice Department.
I “frankly don’t give a damn about optics,” one of Biden’s hacks told the FBI.
It’s hard to read this story and conclude that the classified documents case against the president was fair. Democrats didn’t go after Trump because they thought he’d committed a specific crime; they targeted him simply for being Trump. They wanted him to be guilty of something, anything, and the law appeared to be of no concern. They just longed to lock him up.
