The Wall Street Journal released a report on Wednesday saying the Department of Justice told Donald Trump that he is in the Epstein files. The DOJ says the claim is false.

"This is a collection of falsehoods and innuendo designed to push a bulls**t narrative and drive clicks," a spokesperson wrote on X. 

Even if the story were true, Trump’s name appearing on the list would not be inherently significant. All that is required to be “in the files” is your contact existing in Epstein’s phone book. Trump fitting that description would prove nothing more than the fact that the billionaires knew each other, which is not a secret. 

The same sentiment applies to this resurfaced video of Epstein describing his relationship with the president. The notorious pedophile pleads the Fifth when asked if he ever “socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18.” Think about how broad that question is. Eating ice cream on a park bench as a mother walks by with her toddler technically fits that description. The clip is a nothingburger.

Does Trump have his faults? Of course. Everyone does. But being a secret pedophile doesn’t feel like one of them. If it were, actual evidence would have come out by now.
