Traverse City, Michigan, Walmart shoppers received a gruesome surprise on Saturday when a lunatic unleashed a seemingly random knife attack at the store. He stabbed 11 people, six of whom are over 60. The oldest is 85.

Given the scene’s horrific nature, it is a miracle that officials expect each victim to survive. That probably would not be the case without armed Marine veteran Derrick Perry. 

Dramatic video shows Perry confronting the attacker in the store’s parking lot, using his firearm to subdue the threat before police arrived to make an arrest. The act of bravery and responsible gun use may have saved dozens of lives.
