Democrats Reject Trump Impeachment Attempt
If you know anything about politics, you understand that many Democrats are constantly looking for excuses to impeach Donald Trump. The Washington Post ran a piece titled “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun” on the day of his first inauguration.
Cane-wagging Congressman Al Green stayed true to that ideal on Tuesday, filing articles of impeachment against the commander-in-chief over Saturday’s military strikes on Iran. According to Green, the attacks represented an abuse of presidential power serious enough to warrant Trump’s removal. We interestingly can’t recall him feeling that way when Barack Obama engaged in the same kind of behavior.
The House voted overwhelmingly against the resolution last night, shutting it down by a count of 344 to 79. Democrat leadership, which we suppose hasn’t completely lost their minds, joined the GOP in opposing the impeachment.
