REPORT: Musk Mauled Treasury Secretary “Like a Rugby Player” During White House Altercation
Donald Trump attended UFC 316 on Saturday, but the event’s bouts weren’t the only fights he’s been around this Spring. One reportedly broke out outside the Oval Office just weeks ago.
According to former White House official Steve Bannon, Elon Musk aggressively body-checked Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in April after Bessent called him a fraud, igniting a clash that fueled the former DOGE chief’s high-profile administration exit. The scuffle broke out after both fighters pitched rival plans for the IRS.
“You’re a fraud. You’re a total fraud,” the treasury secretary reportedly told Musk before things got physical. The billionaire then rammed his shoulder into Bessent's ribcage before staffers broke the men apart.
The president ultimately chose Bessent’s proposal.
