FEMA Deliberately Neglected Trump Supporters
FEMA announced the firing of a former official who directed her team to avoid disaster-zone homes with Trump signs on Saturday, shining a light on how supposedly apolitical government organizations have become weaponized against Republicans.
The official, 39-year-old Marn’i Washington, instructed employees to “Implement best practices” including “Avoid[ing] homes advertising Trump.”
"This is a clear violation of FEMA's core values & principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation," agency administrator Deanne Criswell wrote on X. “This type of behavior and action will not be tolerated at FEMA and we will hold people accountable if they violate these standards of conduct."
Florida’s division of emergency management is launching an investigation into the issue.
