Donald Trump threatened to “immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria” on Saturday, saying he’ll end U.S. funding if its government “continues to allow the killing of Christians.” 

Muslim extremists have reportedly slaughtered thousands of Nigerian Christians this year, and Trump is accusing the country’s leaders of enabling the bloodshed. Roughly 80 million followers of Christ live within its borders.

The president’s willingness to withhold funding from a country whose behavior does not align with America’s interests is rooted in common sense. Why would the U.S. pay for the murder of Christians? No one would accuse him of being an anti-Nigerian bigot for issuing his threat. His view is obvious and sound.

So how come Mark Levin would label him an anti-Jewish racist if he made the exact same statement about Israel? Isn’t that a weird double standard? This may be hard for Levin and his ethno-narcissist caucus to accept, but criticism of their beloved country has nothing to do with Judaism, just like Trump’s statement on Nigeria is not an attack on blacks. It’s about putting America first.
