A full stadium’s worth of rallygoers packed into New York City’s Madison Square Garden Sunday for Donald Trump’s highly-anticipated “homecoming” event, with tens of thousands more reportedly left to watch outside after the arena quickly reached capacity.

"They could have sold the Garden twice," a witness at the rally reportedly said, with police sources confirming that far more supporters sought admission than what the famed venue could handle. 

The former president’s speech was branded as the beginning of his closing message, with much of its substance devoted to immigration, the economy, and lambasting the Biden-Harris administration.

Trump opened by asking the crowd if they felt “better off now than you were four years ago,” a reference to the acclaimed line Ronald Reagan used to fuel his 1980 victory over then-President Jimmy Carter.
