Illegal Immigrant Placed Five-Figure Bounty on Top Border Official, DHS Says
The Department of Homeland Security has announced the arrest of an illegal immigrant gang member accused of offering at least $10,000 to kill one of Donald Trump’s top Border Patrol officials.
Law enforcement got a tip that the man placed a “hit” on immigration official Gregory Bovino on Friday, receiving a screenshot of a text exchange offering $2,000 for information on catching the officer and five times the amount “if you take him down.” ICE identified the sender as Latin Kings gang member Juan Espinoza Martinez and arrested him outside Chicago on Monday.
This news comes the same week that Chicago’s mayor established “ICE Free Zones” across his city. If we were criminal illegal immigrants, we’d be his biggest fans.
