Iranian President Condemns Trump’s “Desecration of Jesus”
You probably saw Donald Trump’s painting depicting himself as Jesus, or, according to him, a “doctor.” It offended Christians and Muslims alike, including those in Iran.
The Iranian president on Monday condemned Trump for promoting the blasphemous “artwork,” describing the incident as a “desecration of Jesus, the prophet of peace and brotherhood.”
“His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, I condemn the insult to Your Excellency on behalf of the great nation of Iran, and declare that the desecration of Jesus, the prophet of peace and brotherhood, is not acceptable to any free person,” Masoud Pezeshkian wrote on X. “I wish you glory by Allah.”
Most Americans might not realize this, but Muslims tend to love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. Other religions reject the Son of God as nothing more than a kooky carpenter.
