Mike Johnson made headlines in January by revealing Joe Biden had no idea what was in an executive order he’d “signed.” It turns out the reason may be that he didn’t actually sign it after all.

According to a new report, the former president’s autopen signature appears on the overwhelming majority of laws he “signed” into law. 

“WHOEVER CONTROLLED THE AUTOPEN CONTROLLED THE PRESIDENCY,” the Oversight Project wrote while releasing the findings. “We gathered every document we could find with Biden's signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year.”

We didn’t know it at the time, but the Oversight Project’s investigation is what prompted Missouri’s attorney general to push for an investigation into who really ran the country under Biden. Such a probe feels far more likely now.
